Tutoring programs
Does Clarity offer online tutoring?
Yes, we offer both in-person and online tutoring. See the online tutoring page for more details.
Do prices scale based on the student and subject matter?
Yes, more advanced subjects up to college level courses may cost $5 more/hour. See the pricing page for more details.
What subjects and grade levels do your tutoring programs cover?
Clarity covers K-college reading, writing, math and science. Each subject is split into topics, which can be found in more detail on the Tutoring page.
How do you match students with tutors?
Students will be matched with tutors based on subject and availability.
What qualifications do your tutors have?
Our tutors have been background checked, and their grades in their respective subjects have been verified. Each tutor has been interviewed and trained based on Clarity's approach. In addition, our tutors are either NTA certified or are in the process of doing so. See our Meet the Team page for more details about each tutor.
Pricing and Payments
How do I make a payment?
Payments will be made online at clarity-tutoring.com.
Is the Initial Assessment free?
Yes, the initial assessment is free and part of the first tutoring session. This 20-30 minute period is not factored into the price.
Scheduling
What are your available tutoring hours, and do you offer sessions on weekends or evenings?
Our tutors will communicate with the student or parent to set a time that suits the customer. Yes, we offer sessions in the evening and on weekends.
Can I reschedule or cancel a session if something comes up, and is there a fee for doing so?
Yes, you can reschedule if something comes up by contacting the tutor you scheduled with. If this cancellation is within 24 hours of the tutoring session, the customer is required to pay for the session.
How far in advance do I need to book a session, and is there a maximum number of sessions I can schedule at once?
Sessions are required to be booked at least 48 hours in advance. There is no limit to the amount of sessions one can book.
